[ If anything can put a dent in Soos's positive approach, it might just be that. That attraction is older than he is. It's like a staple.

While his expression is mostly caught up in the thought of trying to come up with the right words to put to it-- 'just a rock' is far from the truth, or at least he thinks so-- there's no denying that it's crossed with a little dismay. Talk about the things he never realized would need explaining. Soos has never been much of a closed book with his emotions, so he kinda rides it out for the moment that it takes to reconsider his options.
